Dr. Klassen grew up on a farm in central Saskatchewan. She studied dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan where she received her degree in 1998. In her final year of dentistry, she travelled to Mexico City and Jamaica and provided dental services to the underprivileged. Upon graduation, she moved to Swift Current and has practiced her entire career in this community. In year 2000, she then bought into the practice. Dr. Klassen has practiced all aspects of general dentistry with particular emphasis on preventive care. She enjoys seeing young children and striving to create positive dental experiences that can get children off to a great start and prevent future problems.

Melinda enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, skiing, travelling, and following her children’s various activities. She is a member of the Southwest Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan as well as the Canadian Dental Association and has worked as an evaluator for the National Dental Examining Board.
